Cyber-Physical Systems Laboratory (CPSLAB)
With the advances in computing, communication, and control, we are witnessing the emergence of the next generation of engineered systems, called cyber-physical systems, which bridge the cyber-world and the physical world. A cyber-physical system is highly networked and highly embedded into our physical world and offers a portal to an unprecedented quantity of information about our environment, bringing about a revolution in the amount of control individuals have over their environment. It is envisioned that the cyber-physical systems of tomorrow will dramatically improve adaptability, autonomy, efficiency, functionality, reliability, safety, and usability of engineered systems.
At the Cyber-Physical Systems Laboratory, our research focuses on analysis, design, and development of networked intelligent systems and investigation of the theoretical underpinning of cyber-physical systems. Our current research topics include robotics, computer vision, sensor networks, and ubiquitous computing.
